this is a body of work that explores chain link fences as a structure that not only obstruct but communicate, that defines where we can and can't go and what is valued in our society. By recreating such fences in a fragile paper-like  material, I subvert their intended function as barriers, revealing them as vulnerable objects. The emphasis on chain link as a pattern reflects a ubiquity essential to forces of authority.
